Virtual Ten Tors

We had 13 year 10 students and 4 year 11s from last year finally complete their Ten Tors Challenge this weekend, albeit not in the usual format. The real event was cancelled for the second year in a row but Ten Tors allowed us to run a 'virtual' challenge meaning that we ran our own expedition and logged it with them to achieve certificates and medals.

We camped on Exmoor on Friday night which was very damp before the students were woken at 5.30am for a 7am start on Saturday. The 35 mile students completed a 25km walk, with most carrying team equipment for the first time (tents, stoves, gas etc.) The four 55 mile students were Thomas Matthews, Lola McCormick, Alexander Sorlie-Pring and James Oglesbee and they walked 35km.
