Welcome . . .

The PTFA at Cullompton Community College is a dynamic group of parents who care about the welfare of the school and want to contribute to its success, or just give something back in appreciation.

Our purpose is to raise and award funds to enable staff to give our students better experiences and wider opportunities. In just the last few years we have funded many important items that have given meaningful support, from providing much needed whisks, frying pans and atlases to paying for the annual transportation costs for sports programmes, purchasing equipment for the Ten Tors expeditions (including £500 on GPS units to keep them safe!), contributing to transport for trips and supporting various school clubs with products and equipment. With ever tightening school budgets we are needed more than ever!

To raise the thousands of pounds to do this we hold fun events throughout the year. We now have an established Bingo event at Christmas and Easter, plus we introduced a spectacular Summer Music Festival which we are excited to anticipate as a growing annual event. (CCC’s answer to Glastonbury)! We have also held a Murder Mystery evening with a professional theatre company at The Walronds and plan similar evenings in the future. We’re adding Quiz nights and by supporting school events too, we try to offer something for everyone. We would welcome any ideas for events that you feel would be successful or would like to attend.

We have an informal and lively meeting on a Wednesday evening, early in each half term (so just 6 short meetings a year). These run for a little over an hour for us to review the results of our latest events, vote on new requests made for funding, discuss upcoming events and any general business. We recently have had to address the new GDPR rules so if you would like to be kept informed of PTFA events and news please click here to subscribe. (You can unsubscribe at any time).
