Ten Tors

Posted on 7th Dec 2020 by Jim Dunne

We had an excellent day on Saturday with 27 year 10s on their first Ten Tors training walk (photos attached). We started in Broadhembury and made our way up into the Blackdown Hills following a 9 mile route before finishing at Forest Glade campground. The weather was a little challenging being cold and showery but the students were really impressive considering many had not walked very much before. Special mention goes to Callum Gosling, Madison Salter and Alice Boyce who were really out of their comfort zone but did a fantastic job, I am sure that they will be keen to tell you about it if you speak to them.

A big thank you to Carl Armand, Megan Tatnell and Nick Moreton who volunteered their time to help make it possible. Our next walk is on Dartmoor on Saturday 19th December if anybody would like to join us.
